The Art of Paper-Cutting is an age-old tradition practiced in many of the European and Scandinavian countries for generations.

Kathi has taken this traditional art form and developed it into a medium in which she is able to make a silhouette cutting into a composition showing movement and drama. Through the illusion of positive and negative space, she suggests depth and motion and creates a three-dimensional effect from a two-dimensional art form.

Each work is first drawn, evolving into an original design, then painstakingly cut by hand from one piece of paper.

Kathi has original work available for purchase and will consider commissions.
